Book Review - Love sick

Title: Love sick
Author: Jon Athan
Pages : 190
Rating : 4.5 /5

Love sick by @authorjonnyathan is a gripping exploration of obsession and desire that pulls readers into a dark and twisted narrative. The story centers around a protagonist whose infatuation spirals out of control, blurring the lines between love and madness.

This story felt like a nightmare, I'm starting to think I ate some questionable tuna before bedtime. How I managed not to throw up while reading this is beyond me. I believe that's a success for the Author's writing skills.

Some readers may find this story unsuitable due to its content. But I had an unexpectedly amazing time reading it.

Warning: this book will mess with your head and your heart. Proceed with caution, and be prepared to redefine love... or at least question what you thought you knew about it.

This book is ridiculously good ❤️

Book review - Dear Ana by I.IE

Dear Ana by I.IE

"How are you supposed to heal in the same place you got hurt? How are you supposed to recover from all the pain and torments of your past, when your past is still your present?"

No words, absolutely no words!

This book is a real treasure that's flown under the radar. This book explores themes of mortality, mental health struggles, traumatic experience and family dynamics. The writing style was incredibly powerful and emotive, creating a strong emotional connection with the character. some chapters were difficult to read and resonate.

Seriously I wasn't prepared for an ending like that😭

" I never really wanted anything.just peace and quiet. All I really dreamed about was being alone"

I truly loved the male character Noah .He's the ideal boyfriend that anyone would be lucky to have. He's the epitome of an ideal partner.

" Seven billion people, maya.seven billion fucking people in this world. And I had to fall in love with the one heart that couldn't love me forever"

Synopsis

When twenty-five-year-old Maya Ibrahim goes to the cemetery on the anniversary of her accident, it’s not so she can pay her respects to the dead girl that saved her life–it’s so she can finally take back the future she was robbed of ten years ago. Seconds before she can successfully carve her fate, Maya gets interrupted by Noah Davidson, and after a rocky first impression, they form an unlikely friendship. Alternating between her present, and the letters she wrote detailing the painful consequences of her survival, Dear Ana follows Maya as she tries to overcome her past and find herself again amidst all the chaos. Will she continue to hide her scars, or will she be honest and tell Noah that the heart of the girl he once loved is still beating… but in Maya instead?

Read this if you need a good cry 😭
